『犬神家の一族』
タワレコのポイントがたまったので、前からずっと欲しかった『犬神家の一族』をゲット。
この名作について今さら吾輩がチンタラ駄文を書く必要はないとは思いますが、敢えて、敢えて書かせて頂きます。
ジャンルとしては一応ミステリーってことになるんでしょうが、ゴシック・ホラーとして観ることもできるし、金田一耕助の青春グラフィティとして観ることもできる。さらに、那須を舞台にした旅情映画としても楽しめたりする優れモノ。
映画の完成度としては若山富三郎がシブ過ぎる『悪魔の手鞠歌』の方が優れているかもしれませんが、『犬神家の一族』にはそんな細かい能書きを寄せつけないパワーがある。
このパワーの源は、何といってもスケキヨ（本当はシズマ）。ゴムマスクをかぶり直した時の口元のモゴモゴ具合は、人間以外の妖気が漂っている。（服はドレステリアっぽくて、お洒落さん）
その他にも、金田一が情けなくスクリームする菊人形meets生首や、V字開脚死体、岸田今日子など、オカルト&キッチュな仕掛けが満載。何か歳を重ねるごとに、この映画が好きになっていく。
現在製作中のリメイク版がどんな出来ばえになるのか、かなり心配。トホホな結果になっても、市川×石坂のリメイクだけに、あまり文句言えない複雑な気分。
近頃、往年の角川映画に興味が。『復活の日』や『戦国自衛隊』などのおバカ大作だけでなく、『幻魔大戦』『カムイの剣』などのアニメやアイドル作品もかなりの規格外だったような気がします。
